Camp Heartwood

Camp Heartwood is a secular Summer Camp that fosters character development of young people through the dynamic exploration of Friendship, Bravery, and the Power of Choice. Designed by some of the best youth development professionals in the world, this program masterfully blends social emotional learning with epic fun and a sprinkle of chaos, culminating in an unforgettable summer camp experience. There are legendary games, ropes course adventures, Paradigms and Traditions that the camp community experiences together, but we give each camper the power to shape the majority of their experience through an innovative elective system called Choose Your Own Adventure. This delicate balance of freedom and structure provides powerful opportunities for our campers to develop social skills, face their fears, and exercise responsibility in a safe, supportive environment.

Camp Soulspring

Ages 8-17 • $849

Camp Soulspring is a Christian summer camp dedicated to nurturing the social and spiritual growth of young people. We do this by teaching campers how to love one another well; the pivotal lesson Christ calls us to embody. At Camp Soulspring, our community creates heaven on earth through the choices we make. As we follow the teachings of Jesus, we allow ourselves to build an empowering community we know is possible when people from many different backgrounds come together, reflecting the peaceful world God intends.

Rooted in over 50 years of summer camp history, campers are swept into a tidal wave of games, forest explorations, ropes course adventures, and sacred traditions. Within this beautifully interconnected community, they experience the wonder of the redwood forest, deepen their faith through creativity and reflection, and have more fun than they ever imagined.

Our program is guided by a single proverb, commonly known as The Golden Rule: “So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets” (Matthew 7:12). This teaching, spoken by Jesus Himself and echoed across the sacred texts of many world religions, is the spiritual cornerstone of Camp Soulspring. We believe The Golden Rule is our “True North,” and we help campers discover that direction with whatever spiritual compass they bring.

From there, we explore the Pathfinders Guide to the Galaxy, a collection of proverbs that help lead us toward creating heaven on earth through the loving choices we make. At Camp Soulspring, we don’t just talk about creating heaven on earth, we practice it until it becomes our way of life.

Ages 15-17 • $899

Session 1: 6/22 - 6/27

Woods to Waves continues Westminster Woods' long-standing tradition of trip camps, offering a transformative experience for high schoolers to bond through adventure and meaningful conversation. Together, the group will explore Sonoma County’s hidden creeks, scenic corners, and natural wonders, while sharing personal stories and wisdom around the campfire.

Over the course of the week, campers will backpack 13 miles through forests, ridgelines, and wild open spaces until they reach the California coast, where they’ll set up tents and create a temporary home under the stars.

Once they arrive at the beach basecamp, the week unfolds with daily excursions and reflection circles and hands-on learning experiences. Campers will explore what it means to care for their physical needs, like strength, endurance, rest, and nourishment, while also diving into deeper conversations about their emotional and spiritual lives. They’ll practice understanding their inner world, and discovering how nature can be a powerful guide and teacher. Join the first ever group to participate in this new Westminster Woods Program!

Family Camp

All Ages • $0-400

Design your own custom family camp experience at Westminster Woods, set in the heart of the beautiful playground that is West Sonoma County. With Westminster Woods serving as your home base, The Grove offers a stress-free environment for families to reconnect, explore the best of Sonoma County, and enjoy a purpose-filled vacation together.

Each day, different activities are available, allowing your family to choose the adventures that best suit your interests. Whether you're looking for outdoor exploration, creative projects, or quiet time, there’s something for everyone. This weekend is designed to bring together our extended Woods family for a time of recreation, relaxation, and fellowship.

And if you're looking for some adult downtime, our experienced Summer Staff will provide fun and engaging childcare. With activities and games for kids of all ages, you can rest assured that everyone in the family will have a memorable experience!

Counselors in training

Ages 15-17 • $999

The Westminster Woods Counselor in Training (CIT) Program offers a transformative leadership experience for youth ages 15–17. Through immersive training in character development, restorative justice, sustainability, and spiritual growth, participants build strong leadership skills while forming a supportive and intentional community. CITs also serve as role models for younger campers throughout our Summer Programs.

Applicants may choose to apply for Camp Heartwood CIT Sessions 2 & 3 or Camp Soulspring CIT Sessions 5 & 6. This is a two-week residential program. During the first week, CITs participate in an intensive leadership training focused on personal growth, group facilitation, and camp operations. In the following week, CITs step into real leadership roles—serving in cabins alongside Cabin Counselors and supporting our Resource Team with behind-the-scenes camp operations. Friendship Camp

Ages 18-65 • $899

Session 4: 7/14 - 7/17

Friendship Camp is a week for adults with developmental disabilities to express joy, create friendships, embrace nature, and worship God. Surrounded by our loving staff, Friendship Campers experience fellowship, relaxation, and all around camp fun. Throughout the day, campers will rotate between a variety of camp activities including arts and crafts, volleyball, and enjoying the wonders of the redwood forest. Join us in a community of loving individuals, all who recognize and celebrate that everyone is a child of God. All campers must submit an application to participate in this program

Equipped with our diverse, exceptional, and highly trained Summer Staff, we are dedicated to providing a transformational experience for each camper. Our leadership staff are required to have at least two years of previous childcare experience and the majority of our entry level staff are camper alumni. Many of our Summer Staffers are Teacher Naturalists, Westminster Wood’s year-round outdoor education facilitators. Each staff member goes through a week-long deliberate and focused training that ensures campers are well supported. All staff members are CPR certified and background checked.
