Come back to the Woods this Fall for a special Heartwood Weekend Retreat! Whether you’re a returning camper or thinking about joining us for the first time, this retreat is a chance to reconnect, recharge, and relive the magic of summer—campfire songs, creek stomps, challenge course moments, and all.

The weekend will follow the flow of a classic camp day—with a few cozy autumn twists. We’ll kick things off Friday night with campfire, games, and the joy of being back under the redwoods together. On Saturday, campers will choose from a variety of creative workshops, outdoor adventures, and personal growth activities designed to foster connection with self, others, and nature. Then it’s off to the challenge course for some team building and thrill-seeking fun!

Camp Heartwood is a values-driven summer camp rooted in connection, creativity, and self-discovery. Our mission is to help young people grow into compassionate, confident individuals by creating a space where they can explore who they are, build deep friendships, and feel a true sense of belonging. Through shared experiences in nature, we cultivate a camp culture where every camper feels seen, supported, and celebrated.

Set against the backdrop of towering redwoods and over 50 years of camp tradition, Heartwood is packed with joy—silly games, forest adventures, challenge course thrills, and classic camp traditions that make lifelong memories. Here, campers are encouraged to be curious, try new things, and lean into their most authentic selves.

At the heart of our program is a simple but powerful principle: treat others with kindness, empathy, and respect. We call this our “True North.” It’s the compass that guides every cabin conversation, every group activity, and every quiet moment in the woods. Camp Heartwood is where kids come to grow—together.
