Come design your own custom family camp experience using the magic of Westminster Woods and the surrounding playground of West Sonoma County. Using Westminster Woods as a home base, The Grove provides a stress-free environment, giving families the freedom to regroup the family unit, explore all Sonoma County has to offer, and enjoy a purpose-filled vacation with one another! With different activities being offered every day, your family can pick and choose the adventure you wish to go on. This forest is considered a home away from home for generations of campers and staffers and The Grove is meant to be just that. This weekend is designed to bring the large intergenerational Woods family together for a weekend of recreation, relaxation, and fellowship. And if you want some time away from the kids, our Summer Staff will provide childcare - activities and games for your children, no matter the age.

Mornings: Throughout the morning, parents are free to participate in optional morning worship and speaker times. Our Summer Staff provides childcare for all ages, leading age appropriate games and activities. Your family is also welcomed to go off-site and enjoy West County excursions and local wine tasting. 

Afternoons: The Westminster Woods swimming pool and one-of-a-kind Challenge Course are open during this time. Load up the family car and go explore local recreational sites; hiking along the Pacific coast at Jenner Headlands, tide pooling at Shell Beach, kayaking on the Russian River, or strolling through old-growth redwoods at Armstrong Redwoods State Reserve. Our Summer Staff provides childcare for all ages, leading age appropriate games and activities. 

Evenings: Our evenings are all about spending time together as a community in our Westminster Woods “Village.” Adults can enjoy a glass of wine on the Wood’s Inn porch while teenagers and children enjoy s’mores around the campfire. Movie screening in the “Box Car Theater,” crafts at the Craft Shack, field games on the Big Green Field, and imaginative fun on our playground are all in close proximity with one another.

Prepared by our top notch Food Service Team, your family is treated to three meals a day. The team provides excellent quality food, loved by generations of campers, and enjoyable for both adults and kids. A copy of the menu will be sent out the week before camp starts and SBJs (sunflower seed butter and jelly) are an alternate option for every meal. Alternatively, the local towns of Occidental and Sebastopol offer excellent family-friendly restaurants for a night out. 

Westminster Woods accommodates a vegetarian diet but we strongly encourage families to bring their own food supplements for any other dietary needs.

GUEST HOUSES

The three luxury houses offer families a home-like experience. Each house has three bedrooms and two bathrooms, full kitchen, and can accommodate up to three families. Linens & towels, wifi, and parking next to the house are all included. Houses are toddler safe and friendly. Families can rent rooms on a first come, first serve basis. If you would like to request specific families to share a house with, be sure to register early and add the family as a roommate request on your registration form. Each room is an additional $240 to your family's total cost.

Private bathrooms and showers are attached to these limited cabins. Each cabin is furnished with bunk beds and an electric heater. Each cabin accommodates one family. An additional $120 will be added to your family's total cost.
