Please note that there is no online registration for Bridge -- the fully completed 6-page application and two completed reference forms must be received by our Ministries Department in order to be considered for the Bridge program.  Please indicate your preferred Bridge training session on page 1 of the application.

Cost: $250 per session

Bridge strengthens young leaders by inviting them to experience the joy and creativity of serving in camping ministry through hands-on opportunities in program and living in intentional community.  Participants will engage in Bible Study, be trained in CPR and First Aid, be mentored by staff, meet with speakers, complete interactive counselor training, and enjoy some relaxing activities.  After successfully completing this program, participants may be placed in cabins as counselor or co-counselors for a week or longer.  

Camp length:  6 nights, Sunday afternoon – Saturday morning. After completing this week, participants may have the opportunity to serve as cabin counselors in camps.

Sleeping Accommodations:  Campers sleep on bunk beds inside.  Each unit has electricity and heat.  Bathrooms are located in the housing unit.  May include some overnights outside.

Eating:  Campers eat together outdoors on picnic tables or eat at tables with campers.  Some special meals are cooked outdoors or at the Bridge house.

Activities: Service projects, swimming, crafts, games, Bible studies and discussions, worship, challenge course, assisting with camp programs, interacting with campers, setting up games, acting in skits, and much more.

Camp size:  up to 15 campers, with at least 2 college-aged staff counselors

  • American Camping Association (ACA) Accreditation Standards require that participants be at least 16 years of age
  • You will be asked to commit to volunteer at least one week after successfully completing the Bridge program
  • Bridge must be completed the same summer that you wish to volunteer
