Announcing an exciting event that you won't want to miss: The
Westminster Woods Trek-a-Thon on Saturday,
September 27th!
It will be a day for hikers young and old to enjoy the
stunning beauty of redwood forests and the Sonoma
Coast, the accomplishment of trekking ten
challenging miles, and the company of friends - all
while raising funds that are essential to uphold a ministry that builds meaningful relationships, with Christ and with
one another.
Participants will begin their hike between 8:00 and 9:00 am, and will complete a 10-mile trek from The Woods, up and over the coastal ridge, and down to the Sonoma County coast. Hikers (like you!) will gather pledges in support of The Woods' camping ministry. Prizes for the top pledge earners include a weekend on the Mendocino Coast and a full treatment at Osmosis Enzyme Spa.
All hikers must:
- Be at least 12 years of age on September 27th, 2008 (we are unable to provide child care for hikers);
- Be in good physical shape; and
- Be prepared to hike 10 challenging miles, including some long, steep hills; and
The recommended goal is $250 in pledges per hiker -- we know that some are planning on exceeding that wildly, and others may not reach it. Aim high and do your best!

Note that housing at The Woods on Friday night is EXTREMELY limited. Only those who absolutely
must have housing should contact Elena immediately.
Housing will be in rustic cabins with standard bunks.
There is NO housing available on Saturday night.
